Arrival in Salzburg and check in to the Castellani Parkhotel****.  As a special welcome enjoy roasted chestnuts and a glass of hot mulled wine in the baroque courtyard of the chapel.  Dinner will be served at the hotel.

After breakfast join your guide for a sightseeing tour of Salzburg.  See the major sights which the city has to offer, including Mirabell Palace. the Marionette Theatre, Mozart’s Residence and Mozart’s Birthplace on the picturesque Getreidegasse, as well as the Festival House and Mozart Square.   The afternoon is free to be spent at leisure.  Savour the Christmas spirit in the historic heart of the city, or relax in the wellness area of the hotel.  In the evening a delicious 5-course Christmas menu will await you in the hotel.  

Today you will have time to visit the attractive Christmas market in front of Salzburg’s magnificent cathedral.  With a tradition of more than 500 years, the market has existed in its present form since 1972. Every year the inhabitants of Salzburg, as well as around 1 million visitors from all over the world, come to admire the beautiful Christmas wonderland.  For refreshment enjoy a snack of your choice, e.g. a roasted sausage or oven potato, with a warming drink.  As a souvenir you will receive Christmas chocolate and a special mug from the Christmas market.
